Booking your test

To take your driving test, you'll need to book an appointment through your state or territory's transport authority.

Pre-test checklist

Before the test, ensure your vehicle meets safety standards. This includes checking that all lights, indicators, brakes, and mirrors are functioning correctly.  

The test process  

Upon arrival, the examiner will introduce themselves and explain the test procedure.

A Driving test typically last up to 35 minutes.

After the test   

At the end of the assessment, the examiner will provide feedback and inform you whether you passed or need to retake the test.
